Instructions:
- Open the ashtray and remove it from the dash per vehicle service procedure (gently pry retaining clips if required).
- Locate the old bumper/stop; use a small pick or flathead screwdriver to remove the worn bumper from its boss.
- Clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive residue. Dry completely.
- Test-fit the new bumper in the mounting boss to confirm orientation and fit.
- If the bumper is a snug press-fit, push it firmly into place until fully seated. If the fit is loose, apply a minimal amount of adhesive to the boss and seat the bumper, wiping away excess glue.
- Reinstall the ashtray assembly into the dash and verify smooth operation without rattles; allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before final use.
