Replacement brake or clutch pedal pad designed for 1962–1967 GM passenger cars. This pad restores original pedal appearance while providing secure, non-slip foot contact on vehicles without power brakes. Molded for durability, it protects the metal pedal from wear and reduces foot slippage during operation. Ideal for restorations or routine replacement, the pad is easy to install and built to withstand everyday use, road grime, and light chemicals.
Features:
  • Fits 1962–1967 GM passenger cars — brake or clutch pedals on models without power brakes (Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick applications).
  • Molded rubber construction for lasting grip and wear resistance.
  • Restores factory appearance and improves driver foot traction.
  • Simple slip-on design — no permanent modification required.
  • Resistant to oil, grease, and road contaminants; ideal for restorations and maintenance replacements.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 1/5
  • Estimated time: 10–20 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Flathead screwdriver or trim pick (for removing old pad)
  • Pliers (optional)
  • Warm water or silicone spray for lubrication
  • Rag and mild solvent (rubbing alcohol) for cleaning
Instructions:
  1. Remove the old pedal pad: pry off the worn rubber using a flathead screwdriver or trim pick, taking care not to damage the metal pedal.
  2. Clean the pedal surface: wipe away dirt, grease, and any remaining rubber pieces with a rag and mild solvent or rubbing alcohol; ensure the surface is dry.
  3. Soften the new pad (optional): soak the rubber pad in warm water for a few minutes to increase elasticity for easier installation.
  4. Lubricate lightly: apply a small amount of soapy water or silicone spray to the pedal shaft or inside the pad to aid sliding.
  5. Install the new pad: align the pad over the pedal, then stretch and push it into place until the edges seat fully around the pedal face.
  6. Final check: let any lubricant dry, confirm the pad is secure and centered, and test pedal operation to ensure full travel and clearance.
