Precision Laying Frame Trailer blocks PRP 0077 are heavy-duty mounting blocks designed to secure and align laying frames to trailer chassis while absorbing vibration and distributing load. Constructed from durable, wear-resistant material, these blocks restore proper frame spacing, reduce metal-to-metal contact, and help prevent premature wear of mounting hardware. Ideal for trailer maintenance, repair, or restoration projects, they offer reliable performance under repeated load cycles and are easy to fit with basic hand tools.
Features:
- Durable mounting blocks for trailer laying frames; fitment varies by trailer model (verify dimensions before ordering).
- Made from wear-resistant material to withstand load, abrasion, and weather exposure.
- Secures and aligns laying frames to the trailer chassis, restoring proper spacing and geometry.
- Reduces vibration and metal-to-metal contact to protect mounts, bolts, and surrounding components.
- Simple retrofit or replacement for worn or damaged blocks during trailer maintenance and restoration.
- Low-maintenance design for long service life and consistent performance under load.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes (per block set)
Instructions:
- Park trailer on a level surface and chock wheels; disconnect any loads and ensure the trailer is safe to work on.
- Apply penetrating oil to mounting bolts if they appear rusted; allow time to soak.
- Use a jack to lift the trailer frame at the mounting location and support it securely on jack stands to relieve load from the block.
- Remove mounting bolts and old block(s); use a pry bar or screwdriver to free stuck pieces. Clean mounting surfaces with a wire brush or cleaner.
- Inspect frame mounting pads and bolt holes for damage or excessive corrosion; repair or replace fasteners as needed.
- Position the new PRP 0077 block so alignment features match the frame and chassis pads; insert mounting bolts and hand-start threads.
- Tighten bolts to the vehicle/frame torque specification using a torque wrench. Do not overtighten — follow the frame or trailer manufacturer's recommended torque values.
- Lower the jack and remove stands, then test by towing or loading the trailer carefully and rechecking bolt torque after initial use.
