A precision-engineered glass setting block designed to position, cushion and secure door glass in 2004–2014 Ford F-150 trucks. This replacement block restores proper glass-to-frame spacing, reduces wind noise and vibration, and prevents glass stress that can lead to chipping or premature wear. Made from a high-density rubber/urethane compound, it delivers long-lasting resilience against compression, weathering and daily use while being simple to install with basic hand tools—ideal for repairs, restorations or routine maintenance of F-150 door assemblies.
Features:
- Fitment: 2004–2014 Ford F-150
- Constructed from a high-density rubber/urethane compound for durable, long-lasting performance
- Positions and cushions door glass to prevent stress, noise and premature wear
- Helps restore proper glass alignment and smooth up/down operation
- Simple replacement for worn or damaged factory setting blocks during door repairs or restorations
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: lower window and disconnect negative battery terminal if required by your vehicle procedures.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws and fasteners, pry off the panel with a trim tool and carefully disconnect any electrical connectors.
- Peel back the vapor/water barrier enough to access the glass channel and setting block area.
- Lower or raise the glass to the position where the existing setting block is accessible. Use masking tape to secure the glass in place if needed.
- Remove the old setting block: unclip or pry it free from the glass channel. Take note of orientation and any shims used.
- Clean the mounting area and glass contact surface of dirt, adhesive residue and debris.
- Install the new setting block in the same orientation as the original. If required, add or adjust shims to match the factory glass height and tilt.
- Test glass operation: cycle the window up and down several times to ensure smooth movement and correct seating. Check for wind noise and proper sealing.
- Re-secure the vapor barrier, reconnect any electrical connectors, and reinstall the interior door panel and fasteners.
- Final check: confirm proper glass alignment, operation, and that no binding or unusual noise occurs. Make minor adjustments if necessary.
