This 6-piece Beltline Molding and Glass Run Channel Kit (left and right) replaces worn window seals and guide channels to restore proper glass alignment, reduce wind noise, and prevent water intrusion. Constructed from durable weather-resistant rubber with corrosion-resistant retainers, the kit replicates OEM fit and finish for a clean restored appearance and reliable long-term performance. Ideal for restoring door windows and beltlines on compatible vehicles — verify fitment before purchase — the set delivers improved sealing, quieter operation, and easier window movement.
Features:
- 6-piece kit includes left and right components for complete window run and beltline replacement
- Durable weather-resistant rubber (EPDM-style) with corrosion-resistant retainers for longevity
- Restores proper glass alignment, reduces wind noise and vibration, and prevents water leaks
- OEM-style profile for a correct fit and restored appearance
- Easy to install with common hand tools; suitable for restoration and maintenance projects
- Replaces brittle or cracked runs to protect glass edges and interior trim
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (depending on vehicle and experience)
Instructions:
- Verify kit matches vehicle and lay out all parts to confirm completeness.
- Disconnect the battery (if necessary) and remove the door panel and any trim obstructing access to the glass run channels.
- Lower or remove the window glass per vehicle procedure to gain access to the old channels and beltline moldings.
- Carefully remove old molding and channel pieces; cut and pry away adhesive or deteriorated rubber. Clean channel mounting areas of old adhesive and debris.
- Dry-fit the new channels and moldings to check orientation and length. Trim excess if required following vehicle-specific guidelines.
- Apply a small amount of rubber-safe lubricant to the new runs. Slide or press the new channels into the door frame and beltline, ensuring retainers seat into their mounting grooves.
- Reinstall the window glass into the new channels, cycling the window slowly to ensure smooth operation and correct alignment. Adjust as needed.
- Reinstall door trim, hardware, and any weatherseals removed earlier. Test for leaks by gently spraying water and checking for wind noise at road speed.
- If leaks or binding occur, make minor adjustments to channel positioning or replace any worn retainers. Clean up and perform a final test.
