A precision-engineered two-piece beltline molding kit (inner and outer) designed to restore and secure the beltline trim on 1973 vehicles (WFK 1130 73). The kit replaces worn or missing moldings to protect the body edge, prevent water intrusion, and renew the vehicle's exterior appearance. Constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant material with a factory-correct profile, it delivers reliable fit and long-lasting performance while remaining easy to install for restorers and maintenance technicians.
Features:
- Fitment: 1973 models (WFK 1130 73) — does not fit Silverado/Sierra models.
- Two-piece kit includes inner and outer beltline moldings for complete restoration.
- Made from corrosion-resistant material for long-term durability and weather protection.
- Replicates factory profile to restore original appearance and prevent water intrusion.
- Simple installation with common hand tools; ideal for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on a level surface and protect adjacent panels with masking tape.
- Remove old molding: carefully pry off existing trim using a trim removal tool or screwdriver, removing any clips or fasteners. Keep hardware if reusable.
- Clean the mounting surface: remove adhesive residue, dirt, and rust. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test fit the new pieces: position the inner and outer moldings along the beltline to confirm alignment and identify any trimming points.
- Attach fasteners or clips: secure the molding using original or supplied clips/screws. If adhesive is used, apply according to manufacturer instructions.
- Align and press: ensure the molding seats evenly along the edge; use clamps or tape to hold in place until any adhesive sets.
- Trim and finish: if necessary, trim excess material for a seamless fit and reinstall any removed hardware or weatherstripping.
- Inspect the installation: check for gaps, secure attachment, and proper sealing to prevent water entry. Make adjustments as needed.
