Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim with tape or cloth.
- Carefully remove the existing molding by prying gently with a trim removal tool to expose old clips; use pliers to remove retained clips.
- Clean the molding channel and glass edge with a cloth and mild cleaner; remove corrosion or adhesive residue and apply rust inhibitor if needed.
- Identify clip locations by referencing the removed molding or OEM layout and test-fit a clip in the channel to verify fit.
- Install new clips onto the molding or into the channel as required—press each clip until it seats securely and snaps into place.
- Re-seat the molding onto the glass/vehicle edge, ensuring clips engage the mounting flange evenly and the molding aligns with adjacent trim.
- Check for even gaps, secure any fasteners, and allow any cleaners or inhibitors to dry before driving.
- Re-check clip retention and trim alignment after a short test drive; tighten or re-seat clips if necessary.
