The Precision Cold Knife WIT 160 T is a shop-grade cold-cutting tool designed to safely and accurately separate urethane, adhesives, gaskets, and trim without heat. Built for professional auto glass and trim removal, it reduces the risk of damage to glass, painted surfaces, and bodywork while improving removal speed and control. The tool features an ergonomic handle and a replaceable industrial blade for consistent, long-lasting performance—ideal for maintenance, restoration, and replacement work on most vehicles and glass types.
Features:
  • Suitable for use on most vehicles and glass types for windshield, trim, and adhesive removal.
  • Ergonomic design reduces operator fatigue during repetitive cutting and removal tasks.
  • Replaceable industrial-grade blade provides precise cutting and long service life.
  • Cold-cut action prevents heat transfer, protecting paint, seals, and glass from damage.
  • Quick blade-change and adjustable depth for controlled, repeatable cuts.
  • Ideal for auto glass replacement, trim restoration, gasket removal, and general shop maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 10–20 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Protective gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • Flathead screwdriver or small pry tool
  • Allen/hex key (if required by blade holder)
  • Replacement blades (as specified)
Instructions:
  1. Put on protective gloves and safety glasses before handling the tool or blade.
  2. Inspect the knife and blade holder for debris or damage; clean if necessary.
  3. If a blade is already installed, loosen the blade clamp screw(s) using the appropriate driver or hex key.
  4. Carefully remove the old blade by lifting it straight out; dispose of used blades in a safe blade container.
  5. Position a new blade into the blade holder, aligning it with the locating features and ensuring cutting edge orientation is correct.
  6. Tighten the blade clamp screw(s) securely but avoid over-torquing; check that the blade is firmly seated and does not wobble.
  7. Adjust blade exposure/depth according to the material being cut; start with minimal exposure and increase only as needed.
  8. Test the setup on a scrap piece or inconspicuous area to confirm cut depth and control before working on the vehicle.
  9. When cutting, keep steady, controlled strokes along the seam and avoid excessive force; let the blade do the work.
  10. After use, wipe the tool clean, retract or cover the blade if applicable, and store in a safe, dry place.
