Instructions:
- Remove interior door panel or access cover to reach the door lock assembly following the vehicle-specific procedure.
- If present, remove the old gasket or any remaining adhesive and clean the mating surface with a lint-free cloth and solvent. Ensure the area is dry and free of debris.
- Inspect the lock mounting flange and surrounding sheetmetal for damage or sharp edges; gently file or deburr if necessary.
- Test-fit the new gasket (PLG 4210 70) on the lock housing or door opening to verify orientation for LH or RH placement.
- Seat the gasket fully against the mating surface. For some applications the gasket will press-fit into place; if needed, align it around the lock flange before tightening hardware.
- Reinstall the lock assembly and any retaining screws or fasteners, torquing to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications. Verify the gasket remains seated as hardware is tightened.
- Operate the door lock and latch several times to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing. Reinstall the door panel or access cover.
