A 10-piece door weatherstrip seal kit engineered for First Series vehicles (DK 1110 51) to restore door openings to original weather-tight condition. Made from durable, long-lasting materials and supplied in left and right sets, the kit is ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance where reliable sealing and ease of fitment are important.
Features:
- Fits First Series vehicles (DK 1110 51) — complete left and right door coverage, 10-piece kit
- Durable rubber compound designed to resist weathering, UV and temperature changes
- Seals doors to prevent water leaks, wind noise and interior damage
- OEM-style profiles for proper fit, alignment and appearance
- Easy to install with basic trim tools and common adhesives or retainers
- Helps prevent corrosion and reduces vibration for a quieter ride
- Ideal for restoration or routine replacement to return doors to factory sealing performance
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove old weatherstrip: gently pry out existing seals and any retaining clips or adhesive residue.
- Clean mounting surfaces: wipe channels and flange areas thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test fit each new piece: align seals to the door and jamb to verify orientation and length; trim excess if necessary.
- Apply adhesive sparingly where needed: follow adhesive manufacturer instructions; many profiles will press-fit without glue.
- Install seals: starting at one end, press the seal firmly into the channel or over the flange, working along the length to avoid gaps.
- Secure ends and corners: ensure ends sit flush and use small clamps or tape until adhesive sets (if used).
- Reinstall any trim or clips removed earlier and cycle the door to confirm smooth operation and even sealing.
- Final check: inspect for gaps, pinch points, or interference; adjust or trim as required for an even, weather-tight seal.
