This glue-on door weatherstrip seal kit provides a complete 6-piece solution (left and right hand pieces, 48" lengths) to restore door sealing performance. Designed to stop water, wind noise, dust and vibration at the door edges, the kit is ideal for vehicle restoration, maintenance or replacement of worn seals. The flexible, weather-resistant rubber compound conforms to door profiles for a tight, reliable seal and the adhesive-backed design allows for a secure, low-profile installation that improves cabin comfort and protects interior surfaces.
Features:
- 6-piece set includes left and right hand door seals (48" lengths) for full door-edge coverage
- Made from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound to resist cracking, drying and UV damage
- Glue-on design for a clean, secure attachment—no complex hardware required
- Reduces wind noise, water intrusion, dust entry and vibration for improved cabin comfort
- Easy to trim and fit to custom door profiles during restoration or replacement projects
- Ideal for restoring original fit and finish or upgrading old, failed seals with a reliable solution
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes (plus 24 hours curing time)
Instructions:
- Test-fit each seal along the door edge and trim lengths as needed so pieces meet cleanly at ends or corners.
- Remove old weatherstripping residue and adhesive from the door edge. Clean thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- If recommended by the adhesive manufacturer, apply primer to the bonding surface and let it flash per instructions.
- Measure and cut seals to final lengths, leaving a small gap (if required) or butting ends per vehicle specification.
- Apply a continuous bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the back of the seal or to the door edge as directed by the adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal firmly into place along the door edge, working in short sections to ensure correct alignment.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position where needed and use a rubber roller or firm hand pressure to ensure full contact with the adhesive.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately using a clean rag and solvent recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Allow the adhesive to cure undisturbed for the time specified by the adhesive manufacturer (commonly 24 hours) before closing the door repeatedly.
- Check door operation and adjust or trim any high spots for proper shut and seal after full cure.
