Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, open door fully, and disconnect battery if removing electrical components.
- Remove the door panel or trim pieces as needed to access the weatherstrip channel (use trim tool to avoid damage).
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip seals by pulling them out of the channel; note any retaining clips or fasteners and remove them if necessary.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal in the door channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess material only if necessary, using a utility knife for a clean cut.
- If the factory channel is loose or the seal feels unstable, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new seal firmly into the channel along the full length, ensuring the bulb and flange seat evenly and any locating features align with the mating door frame.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or fasteners and reattach the door panel and trim pieces.
- Close the door slowly and check for proper compression and alignment. Make minor adjustments if needed and allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive instructions before driving.
