- Manufactured from a durable rubber compound designed to resist ozone, UV and temperature-related degradation.
- Profiles engineered to compress and seal gutters and edges to prevent water, dust and wind noise.
- Simple retrofit replacement for worn OEM weatherstrips — restores original sealing performance.
- Easy-to-install design that can be trimmed for a precise fit; suitable for restorations and routine maintenance.
- Helps protect interior trim and metal surfaces from moisture-related damage and corrosion.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and open the door where the seal will be replaced.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: peel or pry out retaining clips and adhesive, taking care not to damage the door flange or paint.
- Clean the door flange and seal channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces to confirm orientation (left vs. right) and length; trim excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If the new seal has adhesive backing, peel the liner and press the seal firmly into place along the door flange. If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange or seal per adhesive instructions, then press into position.
- Work along the length of the seal, pressing firmly and using masking tape to hold sections in place if needed until adhesive sets.
- Close and open the door several times to seat the seal and check for proper compression and alignment. Adjust or trim as needed for a uniform seal.
- Allow any applied adhesive to cure fully per the adhesive manufacturer’s recommended time before exposing to moisture or driving.
