Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out any retaining clips or pull the seal from the channel.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with a rag and rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the door jamb to confirm orientation (left or right) and length. Trim excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If the seal is a push-in style, align the profile with the channel and press firmly along the entire length until seated. If adhesive is required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or sealing surface per adhesive instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip into place, working from one end to the other. Use masking tape to hold the seal in position while adhesive cures (if used).
- Close the door and check for even compression and proper alignment. Adjust as needed and remove any excess tape after adhesive cures.
- Allow adhesive to fully cure per the manufacturer’s directions before exposing to moisture or heavy use.
