Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake and disconnect the negative battery terminal if vehicle has power windows.
- Lower the window glass to a position where the hardware mounting points are accessible or support the glass in the up position with masking tape/suction cups to prevent movement.
- Carefully remove the interior door panel: remove screws, pry out retainers with a trim tool and lift the panel away. Disconnect any electrical connectors (speakers, switches) as needed.
- Peel back the plastic vapor barrier/water shield to expose the inner door cavity and the window hardware.
- If required, lower or reposition the glass to expose the mounting bolts or clips securing the old hardware. Mark glass position with tape if desired for re-alignment.
- Remove fasteners and any retaining clips that secure the old door glass hardware, and carefully extract the damaged or worn assembly.
- Install the new PHP DD26 1362 hardware in the reverse order: position the assembly, secure with fasteners, and ensure clips/seats are fully engaged.
- Re-seat the glass into the new hardware mounts and tighten fasteners to the specified torque (consult vehicle repair manual if available). Adjust glass position to eliminate binding or gaps.
- Reconnect electrical connectors, reattach the vapor barrier, and reconnect the battery. Test window operation through full travel to confirm smooth movement and absence of noise or binding.
- Reinstall the door panel and all trim pieces, verify proper fit, and perform a final operational and alignment check.
