Instructions:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near powered window components to prevent accidental operation.
- Remove the interior door trim panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws and disconnect any electrical connectors (window switch, courtesy light).
- Carefully lower or raise the window to access the glass-to-regulator mounting area. If the regulator is nonfunctional, support the glass in the desired position with painters tape or suction cups.
- Locate and remove the fasteners holding the old glass hardware (clips, brackets or guides) to the glass and regulator. Keep track of any shims or spacers.
- Remove the old hardware from the glass and clean the mating surfaces of dirt and old adhesive if present.
- Install the new hardware onto the glass in the same orientation as the original. Reuse shims/spacers as required or replace with supplied parts.
- Re-position the glass in the regulator track and loosely install mounting fasteners. Cycle the window slowly to verify smooth movement and proper alignment; adjust hardware position if needed to eliminate binding or gaps.
- Once alignment is confirmed, tighten fasteners securely to manufacturer-recommended tightness (avoid over-tightening plastic components).
- Reconnect any electrical connectors and reinstall the door trim panel, ensuring all clips and screws are reinstalled.
- Test the window operation multiple times to confirm quiet, smooth movement and that the glass seals correctly against the weatherstripping.
