A direct-fit right-hand glass run channel (GRR 1110 88) designed to guide and seal a vehicle door window. This channel restores proper glass alignment, reduces wind noise, and prevents water intrusion for smoother window operation. Made from a durable rubber compound with a reinforced backing, it resists wear, compression set, and environmental degradation for long-term reliability. Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance, the part is engineered for easy installation and dependable sealing performance.
Features:
- Right-hand side replacement (GRR 1110 88) for door window glass guidance.
- Durable rubber compound with reinforced backing for long service life.
- Restores smooth window operation and proper glass alignment.
- Reduces wind noise and prevents water leaks into the door cavity.
- Direct-fit design for quick replacement without modification.
- Ideal for vehicle restoration, maintenance, and trim replacement projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and lower the window a few inches to access the channel.
- Remove the door panel or inner access cover as required to reach the channel area (disconnect any electrical connectors first).
- Carefully peel back or remove the outer weatherstrip and any retainers holding the old channel in place using a trim tool to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- Pull out the old glass run channel from the door frame. Use pliers or a utility knife to cut away any stubborn sections.
- Clean the channel mounting area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and old sealant.
- Apply a light coat of silicone spray or rubber lubricant to the new channel's inner surface to ease installation and protect the rubber.
- Seat the new channel into the door frame starting at one end and working along the length, ensuring the profile matches the door pocket and any retainers engage.
- Reinstall the outer weatherstrip and any clips or retainers. Use masking tape to hold the channel in place while testing if needed.
- Slowly raise and lower the window several times to confirm smooth operation and correct alignment; adjust seating if the glass binds.
- Reinstall the door panel and any disconnected electrical connectors. Perform a final leak and noise check.
