Instructions:
- Open the hatch and locate the existing lock gasket; remove any trim or fasteners as needed to access the gasket.
- Carefully pry out the old gasket using a trim tool or screwdriver; cut away any adhesive residue with a razor blade or scraper.
- Clean the gasket seating area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new PLG 4230 70 gasket in place to confirm correct orientation and fitment.
- If required, apply a thin bead of contact adhesive to the seating surface per adhesive instructions.
- Press the gasket firmly into the channel or around the lock assembly, ensuring uniform contact and no twists or gaps.
- Reinstall any removed trim or fasteners, close the hatch, and operate the lock several times to confirm proper sealing and latch engagement.
