Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with masking tape along the windshield edge.
- Carefully pry the old molding away from the windshield channel using plastic trim tools; use a wrapped flat-blade screwdriver for stubborn sections and pliers to remove any clips or retainers.
- Clean the windshield channel and pinch weld with rubbing alcohol or an adhesive cleaner; remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris and dry thoroughly.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield to confirm orientation and alignment before final installation.
- Starting at one corner (or center of the windshield), press the molding into the channel, working along the length and ensuring the metal retainer seats properly into the pinch weld or clip locations.
- Trim any excess molding if necessary and reinstall or secure any clips; apply a small amount of weatherstrip adhesive at the ends or high-stress points if recommended.
- Inspect the seal for uniform contact and gaps, clean up any excess adhesive, and allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before driving.
