Instructions:
- Open the hood and support it securely.
- Carefully remove the old seal: pry up any retaining tabs or adhesive and pull the seal free.
- Clean the mating surfaces on the cowl and underside of the hood with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and old adhesive; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the cowl and hood edge to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess if necessary.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the cowl flange per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new seal into place along the cowl flange, working from one end to the other and ensuring the seal seats fully into any channel or groove.
- Secure any retaining tabs or fasteners and trim/adjust the ends for a neat fit.
- Close the hood slowly to check alignment and sealing; reopen and make minor adjustments if needed. Allow adhesive to cure if used before driving.
