Instructions:
- If the vehicle has power accessories, disconnect the negative battery terminal before beginning.
- Remove the interior door panel and any trim necessary to access the existing door hardware; disconnect electrical connectors and carefully set trim aside.
- Support the door glass and inner components as needed to prevent movement while hardware is removed.
- Apply penetrating oil to fasteners if corroded, then remove the bolts/nuts securing the old hardware and extract the assembly.
- Clean the mounting surfaces and inspect the door and jamb for wear or damage; correct any issues before installing new hardware.
- Position the new laminated hardware in place and loosely install fasteners to allow adjustment.
- Adjust door alignment (gap, flushness, and latch engagement) until desired fit is achieved, then tighten fasteners to the vehicle's OEM torque specifications.
- Reconnect any electrical connectors and test door operation, including opening/closing, latching, and power accessories if equipped.
- Reinstall the door panel and trim, restore the battery connection, and perform a final inspection and operation test.
