Precision Molding Clip Kit PCK-952-84 provides replacement clips designed to secure clip-on windshield trim. Intended for vehicles that use clip-on windshield molding, this kit restores a clean, tight fit between trim and glass to prevent rattles, water intrusion, and trim separation. Made for durability and reliable retention, the clips simplify restoration and maintenance of exterior trim while saving time compared with custom fabrication or repeated temporary fixes. Verify fitment for your vehicle models with clip-on windshield trim before installation.
Features:
- Fits vehicles equipped with clip-on windshield trim (see PCK-952-84 fitment).
- Durable molded construction resists corrosion and environmental wear.
- Secures windshield molding to prevent vibration, wind noise, and water leaks.
- Easy push-fit installation — no special fasteners required.
- Ideal for restoration projects and OEM-style trim replacement.
- Helps restore factory appearance and long-term trim retention.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully pry off the windshield trim or lift the section to access existing clips, using a trim removal tool to avoid damaging the trim or paint.
- Remove any broken or corroded clips from the channel with pliers or the trim tool.
- Clean the trim channel and mounting area with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner; remove old adhesive or debris and dry thoroughly.
- Test-fit new clips on the trim to confirm orientation and spacing before full installation.
- Starting at one end, align the trim and press the clips into the channel or onto the molding until each clip snaps into place; some clips may press into the vehicle body channel instead, depending on the design.
- Seat the trim firmly against the windshield, working along the length and pressing each clip fully home to ensure a uniform fit.
- Inspect the installed trim for consistent gaps and secure retention; trim can be adjusted by removing and re-seating any clips that are not fully engaged.
- Clean the area and allow any disturbed weatherstripping to settle for a short period before driving.
