Precision Rear Cargo Door / Liftgate Weatherstrip Seal DWB 1130 92 is a direct-fit replacement weatherseal engineered to restore a watertight, draft-free closure for rear cargo doors and liftgates using the DWB 1130 92 profile. Molded from high-quality EPDM rubber, it seals gaps, reduces road noise and vibration, and protects cargo and interior trim from water, dust, and debris. Durable, UV- and ozone-resistant construction delivers long-lasting performance while maintaining OEM profile and straightforward installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Molded EPDM rubber construction for durability, flexibility, and UV resistance.
- Seals gaps to prevent water intrusion, drafts, dust, and road noise.
- OEM-profile DWB 1130 92 replacement designed to restore original fit and function.
- Helps reduce vibration and protects interior trim and cargo from moisture damage.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; ideal for restoration or routine replacement.
- Long-lasting material resists cracking, hardening, and deformation over time.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the rear cargo door or liftgate fully.
- Carefully remove the old seal by peeling it away; use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to disengage clips or retainers and needle-nose pliers to remove any remaining fasteners.
- Thoroughly clean the flange/channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow surfaces to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the entire perimeter to confirm orientation and fit before applying any adhesive.
- If adhesive is required by the vehicle, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange or back of the seal as directed by the adhesive manufacturer. Many seals install without adhesive using factory clips.
- Starting at one hinge or corner, press the seal into the channel, seating the bulb/profile fully into place. Work around the perimeter, ensuring corners are aligned and the seal is evenly seated without twists.
- Trim any excess material at the end points with a utility knife so the seal meets cleanly at joining points or overlaps as original.
- Close the liftgate and inspect gaps and compression. Make minor adjustments by repositioning sections of the seal if needed to ensure an even, continuous contact.
- If adhesive was used, allow the recommended cure time before exposing the area to moisture or heavy use (refer to the adhesive instructions).
