Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and open the roof hatch/vent.
- Carefully pry out and remove the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver; work slowly to avoid damaging the hatch channel.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip (BWB 3110 78) along the hatch channel to ensure correct orientation and fit; trim any excess if required.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working around the hatch and ensuring the seal seats fully into the groove; hold or tape sections if adhesive is used until set.
- Cycle the hatch open and closed several times to seat the seal and check for proper clearance and alignment.
- Inspect for leaks by gently spraying water around the hatch and checking the interior; adjust or re-seat the seal if any gaps are found.
