Right-hand vent glass frame VGF 1110 73 RHS is a direct-fit replacement that secures and aligns the vent (venturi/quarter) glass for a proper seal and smooth operation. Engineered for durability with a corrosion-resistant finish and accurate mounting points, this frame restores original fitment, reduces wind noise and water intrusion, and helps maintain correct glass alignment for long-term reliability. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects where OEM-style appearance and performance are required.
Features:
- Right-hand (passenger side) vent glass frame, part VGF 1110 73 RHS
- Durable metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish for longevity
- Precise form and fit to restore proper glass alignment and sealing
- Pre-drilled mounting holes for straightforward installation and secure fastening
- Helps reduce wind noise and prevent water intrusion for improved comfort
- Great for restoration or replacement applications to maintain original appearance
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower window (if applicable). Disconnect battery if removing any power components.
- Carefully remove the interior door/vent trim panel using a trim tool to expose the vent glass frame fasteners.
- If present, remove the vent glass assembly by loosening mounting screws/bolts and supporting the glass to prevent dropping.
- Spray penetrating oil on corroded fasteners and remove all mounting hardware securing the old frame.
- Cut away old sealant or adhesive with a razor blade and thoroughly clean mounting surfaces; remove rust and debris so the new frame seats flush.
- Dry-fit the new VGF 1110 73 RHS frame and align it to the mounting holes and glass; use masking tape to temporarily hold glass in position if needed.
- Apply a continuous bead of RTV silicone or recommended automotive sealant to the mounting flange, then secure the new frame with the original or new fasteners. Tighten evenly to avoid distortion.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly and adjust glass alignment to ensure smooth operation and an even seal; tighten hardware to specification.
- Reinstall interior trim, test window operation and check for wind noise and water leaks. Allow sealant to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposure to water.
