1958-1982 Chevrolet Corvette Ribbed Heater Hose Set for Cars Without A/C is a direct-fit replacement kit designed to restore and protect your Corvette's heater plumbing. The ribbed hoses resist kinking and abrasion while providing correct routing and secure connections to the heater core and engine fittings. Built from high-temperature, durable rubber compound, this set offers reliable sealing, long service life, and an OE-style appearance—ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance to keep the heating system functioning properly.
Features:
  • Fits 1958-1982 Chevrolet Corvette (cars without A/C).
  • High-temperature, durable rubber construction for long service life.
  • Ribbed exterior resists kinking and abrasion for reliable coolant flow.
  • Direct-fit lengths and factory-style ends for easy installation and proper routing.
  • Clamp-ready design works with common worm-drive or spring clamps during replacement.
  • Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance to restore heater performance and appearance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers
  • Pliers or hose clamp pliers
  • Hose cutter or utility knife
  • Coolant drain pan
  • Funnel
  • Shop rags
  • Gloves and safety glasses
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, let engine cool, and disconnect the negative battery cable if desired for safety.
  2. Place a drain pan under the radiator and open the drain petcock or remove the lower radiator hose to drain coolant to below the heater hose connections.
  3. Loosen and remove hose clamps from the old heater hoses at the engine and heater core fittings; use pliers for spring clamps or a screwdriver for worm clamps.
  4. Twist and pull old hoses free; cut if necessary to remove stubborn sections. Dispose of old hoses properly.
  5. Dry-fitting: compare each new ribbed hose to the removed hose to confirm correct length and orientation.
  6. Slide hose clamps onto new hoses, push hoses fully onto fittings (heater core and engine ports) and position clamps over the hose bead.
  7. Tighten clamps securely but avoid over-tightening which can damage the hose or fitting.
  8. Refill cooling system with the appropriate type and amount of coolant and water per vehicle specifications using a funnel.
  9. Start the engine, set the heater to high, and allow the system to reach operating temperature while checking for leaks and monitoring coolant level.
  10. Top off coolant as needed and recheck hose clamp tightness after the engine cools. Properly dispose of any drained coolant.
