Left-hand inner fender for 1960-1966 Chevy pickup and panel trucks — a direct-fit replacement that restores the wheelwell and engine-bay protection. This stamped, heavy-gauge inner fender reproduces original contours and mounting points to help maintain correct body alignment, keep road debris and moisture out of the engine compartment, and provide a solid mounting surface for related components. Built for durability and easy installation, it’s ideal for restorations, collision repair, or replacing rusted or damaged OE panels.
Features:
- Fits 1960-1966 Chevy Pickup & Panel Truck, left-hand (driver side) inner fender
- Stamped heavy-gauge steel construction reproduces OE contours and mounting points
- Protects engine bay and electrical components from road debris, water, and corrosion
- Direct-fit design reduces modification — bolts into existing OE locations on most trucks
- Coated/primed surface helps resist rust and simplifies finish work during restoration
- Ideal for restorations, collision repair, and replacing rusted or damaged inner panels
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1-2 hours
Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: park on level surface, disconnect the battery if working near wiring, raise and securely support the vehicle with jack stands and remove the wheel for access.
- Remove old inner fender: detach trim, splash shields, wiring clips, and any components mounted to the inner fender. If the OE panel is welded, cut or grind spot welds and remove the old panel.
- Clean and prep mounting area: remove rust, old seam sealer, and paint from mating surfaces. Apply rust inhibitor where needed and ensure mounting holes align.
- Test-fit new inner fender: position the replacement panel in place and verify alignment with fender apron, firewall, and mounting points. Adjust as needed before final fastening.
- Secure panel: where applicable, bolt the inner fender to existing threaded holes or use supplied hardware. If welding is preferred, tack weld at multiple points, check alignment, then complete welds. Use clamps to hold panel in correct position while fastening.
- Seal seams and protect: apply seam sealer to all exposed seams and joints to prevent moisture intrusion. Prime/paint or undercoat as required for rust protection and finish.
- Reinstall components: reattach wiring clips, splash shields, trim, and the wheel. Lower the vehicle, torque fasteners to specification, and perform a final clearance check for suspension and brake components.
