An 8-piece seat mounting nut set designed for 1962-1976 Mopar vehicles, this kit replaces worn or corroded seat fasteners to securely anchor seat studs to the vehicle floor. Manufactured from high-strength steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, the set restores proper seat retention and alignment, improving safety and fitment during everyday use or full restorations. Easy to install and built for durability, these nuts provide a reliable, long-lasting replacement for aging OEM hardware.
Features:
  • Fits 1962-1976 Mopar vehicles (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth).
  • Complete 8-piece set replaces all seat mounting nuts for a full restoration.
  • High-strength steel construction for durability and long service life.
  • Corrosion-resistant finish helps prevent rust and seizing in older vehicles.
  • Direct-fit replacement for original seat mounting hardware — no modification required.
  • Simple, user-friendly installation for home mechanics and professional restorers.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
  • Penetrating oil (if removing rusted hardware)
  • Wire brush or thread chaser
  • Wrench or screwdriver as required for seat removal
  • Safety gloves and eye protection
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect the battery for safety if seat has electrical connectors.
  2. Remove the seat from the vehicle following the factory procedure (unplug any electrical connectors and remove seat bolts).
  3. Apply penetrating oil to old nuts and studs if they are corroded; allow time to soak.
  4. Remove the old nuts and clean the studs and surrounding area with a wire brush or thread chaser to remove rust and debris.
  5. Position the seat and align studs with floor holes if reinstalling immediately; otherwise, prepare the studs for new nuts.
  6. Thread the new mounting nuts onto each stud by hand to ensure proper engagement and avoid cross-threading.
  7. Tighten nuts with a socket and ratchet until snug, then torque to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified seat-bolt torque. If factory torque is unknown, tighten firmly but avoid over-torquing.
  8. Reinstall the seat, reconnect electrical connectors (if applicable), and verify seat movement and secure mounting.
  9. Lower the vehicle back to normal use and recheck fasteners after a short test drive to ensure nothing has loosened.
