A 24-piece rocker molding clip and screw kit designed to restore and secure rocker panel moldings on GM cars and trucks from 1962–1976. These OEM-style fasteners replace worn or missing clips to hold moldings tight to the body, eliminate rattles, and protect panel edges during driving and restoration. Made for durability and reliable fitment, the set simplifies reinstalling original trim and helps preserve vehicle appearance and value.
Features:
  • Fits 1962–1976 GM cars and trucks (passenger cars and light trucks).
  • Complete 24-piece kit includes matching clips and screws for multiple rocker molding locations.
  • Zinc-plated steel construction offers corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance.
  • OEM-style design ensures proper alignment and secure fastening of rocker moldings.
  • Easy replacement for restoration projects or routine trim repair to eliminate vibration and prevent damage.
  • Ideal for restoring original appearance and maintaining factory fitment without drilling or modification.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Socket set or wrench (if applicable)
  • Rust penetrant (optional)
  • Clean rag and mild solvent
Instructions:
  1. Raise and support the vehicle safely if needed to access the rocker molding area.
  2. Carefully remove the old rocker molding by prying at the edge with a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver, working slowly to avoid damage.
  3. Remove any remaining old clips and screws from the body; apply rust penetrant to seized fasteners if needed and clean the mounting surface with a rag and solvent.
  4. Position the new clip at the factory mounting hole or locating slot on the rocker panel and push or snap it into place until it seats securely.
  5. Align the rocker molding over the installed clips and press the molding onto the clips so that the retaining edges engage.
  6. Insert the supplied screws into the molding and thread them into the clips; tighten snugly by hand or with a Phillips screwdriver—do not overtighten.
  7. Repeat the process for each clip location, checking alignment and fit as you go to ensure the molding sits flush with the body.
  8. Inspect all fasteners and the overall fit, lower the vehicle if raised, and road-test at low speed to confirm no vibration or looseness.
