1963 Dodge/Plymouth B-Body Back Glass Screw Set for molding clips provides the correct fasteners to secure rear window molding clips and restore factory fit and finish. Designed for classic B-Body sedans from 1963, this kit replaces corroded or missing screws to eliminate rattles, prevent trim damage, and ensure a snug, vibration-free seal around the back glass. Durable, corrosion-resistant construction delivers long-lasting reliability and simple installation, making it ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance.
Features:
  • Fits 1963 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body models (rear/back glass molding clips).
  • Precision-machined steel fasteners with a corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
  • Securely fastens back glass molding clips to reduce vibration and prevent trim damage.
  • Simple, direct-fit replacement for worn or missing factory screws during restorations.
  • Easy to install by hand with common trim tools — no specialty equipment required.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver (or appropriate screwdriver bit)
  • Small driver or nut driver set
  • Plastic trim removal tool
  • Clean rag or shop towel
  • Gloves and safety glasses
  • Masking tape (optional, to protect glass/molding)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the work area: park on a level surface, wear safety glasses and gloves, and lay a towel on the rear seat/trunk to protect interior trim.
  2. Remove interior trim as needed to access the back glass molding clips. Use a plastic trim tool to pry panels carefully to avoid damage.
  3. Inspect existing clips and screw holes. Remove any remaining old screws and clean screw holes and clip mounting surfaces with a rag to remove dirt and corrosion.
  4. If necessary, apply a small amount of anti-seize or corrosion inhibitor to the screw threads (optional) to ease future removal.
  5. Position the molding and clip in place on the back glass flange, aligning the holes with the body mounting points.
  6. Hand-start each screw into its clip to ensure proper thread alignment. Do not force screws; cross-threading will damage clips.
  7. Tighten screws snugly with a screwdriver or driver bit. Avoid over-tightening — fasteners should be secure but not so tight that they distort the clip or molding.
  8. Reinstall any interior trim panels removed earlier, checking that the molding is seated evenly and that there are no gaps or loose areas.
  9. Inspect the installation by gently pressing along the molding and verifying the back glass is secure and free of vibration. Make any final adjustments if necessary.
