- Stamped steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish for durability.
- Precision gear and track design reduces rattle and improves alignment.
- Ideal for restoration or repair to restore proper window operation.
- Bolt-on installation — designed for quick swap with common hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Lower the window glass (if possible) and disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
- Remove the interior door handle escutcheon, armrest and any trim pieces securing the door panel.
- Unscrew and unclip the door panel; carefully lift it free and set aside. Peel back the plastic moisture barrier to access the inner door.
- Support the glass by lifting it into the full-up position and secure it with masking tape to the door frame to prevent it from falling.
- Locate and remove the bolts or rivets attaching the old regulator to the door and detach the glass from the regulator mounting clips.
- Carefully remove the old regulator assembly from the door cavity.
- Compare the new regulator to the old unit, then position the new regulator into the door and loosely install mounting bolts to hold it in place.
- Reattach the glass to the regulator mounting clips and tighten the glass fasteners. Remove masking tape and lower/raise the glass by hand to ensure proper alignment.
- Apply a light coat of grease or silicone lubricant to the regulator tracks and pivot points for smooth operation.
- Tighten all regulator mounting bolts securely, reconnect any electrical connectors if applicable, and test the window several times to confirm smooth travel and correct alignment.
- Reinstall the moisture barrier, door panel, trim, armrest and door handle components. Reconnect the battery and perform a final operational check.
