Suggested Tools:
  • Ratchet and socket set (including deep sockets)
  • Box-end wrenches
  • Torque wrench
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle ramps
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Penetrating oil (for rusted hardware)
  • Work gloves and safety glasses
  • Helper (recommended for handling)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and lift/support the rear with jack stands or ramps if needed.
  2. Remove license plate and any trim or light assemblies attached to the bumper. Disconnect wiring for backup or license lights if present.
  3. Apply penetrating oil to mounting bolts if corroded. Support the bumper with a jack or have a helper hold it.
  4. Loosen and remove the bumper mounting bolts at the frame rails and any bracket fasteners. Carefully remove the old bumper.
  5. Inspect mounting brackets, frame attachment points, and hardware. Clean mating surfaces and replace any damaged or heavily corroded fasteners.
  6. Test-fit the new chrome bumper, aligning it with the factory mounting points. Install bolts loosely to allow adjustment.
  7. Adjust bumper position for even gaps and proper alignment with body panels. When aligned, tighten mounting hardware evenly and torque to factory specifications.
  8. Reconnect any wiring and reinstall light assemblies, trim, and license plate. Verify tightness and alignment, then lower the vehicle and perform a final inspection.
  9. Road-test at low speed to ensure secure fit and no rattles; recheck hardware after initial drive.
