Instructions:
- Prepare the work area: park on level ground and protect the interior and exterior body with towels or masking tape.
- Remove interior trim or rear package tray as needed to access the rear window molding fasteners.
- Carefully pry off the exterior window molding using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver, working slowly to avoid bending the molding.
- Remove old or damaged clips from the body channel and/or molding; use needle-nose pliers if clips are stuck.
- Clean the body channel and molding mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt and old adhesive residue.
- Position each new clip in the same orientation as the originals — install into the body channel or onto the molding flange per the vehicle’s original configuration.
- Re-seat the window molding by aligning it with the clips and pressing firmly along the length until each clip snaps into place and the molding sits flush.
- Reinstall any interior trim or the rear package tray and check the molding for even fitment and secure attachment. If necessary, gently adjust clips or molding to eliminate gaps or misalignment.
