Instructions:
- Prepare the work area and disconnect the vehicle battery (recommended for power-door versions).
- Protect painted surfaces with masking tape around the handle area to avoid scratches.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws, pry off trim clips carefully, and set the panel aside. For manual windows, remove the crank; for power windows, disconnect the switch harness as needed.
- Peel back or remove the inner vapor barrier carefully to access the handle linkage and mounting hardware.
- Locate and disconnect the door-handle linkage rods by removing retaining clips or fasteners; note rod orientation for reassembly.
