Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the door. Apply masking tape around the mirror area to protect paint.
- If required, remove the interior door panel or access cover to reach mirror mounting screws/nuts.
- Support the mirror assembly with one hand while loosening and removing the mounting screws or nuts. If the mirror is power-equipped, carefully disconnect the wiring harness.
- Remove the mirror and gently pry away the old gasket from the mirror base or door surface. Use a trim tool if needed to avoid damaging paint.
- Clean the mirror mounting area and mating surface on the door thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth. Remove all old adhesive, dirt and residue.
- Dry the area completely. If needed, apply a small amount of soapy water or silicone lubricant to help seat the new gasket.
- Align the new gasket with the mirror base and door, matching any mounting holes. Press the gasket firmly into place so it seats evenly around the mounting area.
- Reinstall the mirror assembly, reconnect wiring if applicable, and hand-start the mounting screws or nuts. Tighten evenly to secure the mirror, taking care not to over-torque and distort the gasket.
- Verify mirror alignment and operation, and check for gaps or leaks. Replace interior trim/access covers and remove masking tape.
