A direct-fit 8-wire turn signal switch designed for 1970-76 A-, B- and E-body Mopar cars without tilt steering or cornering lights. This replacement switch restores reliable turn-signal, hazard and cancel functions with OEM-style fit and operation. Built with durable contacts and a high-temperature housing, it resists wear and corrosion for long-lasting performance. Ideal for restorations or repairs, it provides consistent electrical connections and straightforward installation to get classic steering-column controls working like new.
Features:
  • Fits 1970-1976 A-Body, B-Body and E-Body Mopar cars (Plymouth & Dodge) without tilt steering or cornering lights.
  • 8-wire design matches original wiring harnesses for direct replacement and plug-and-play installation.
  • Durable metal contacts and high-temp polymer housing for reliable, long-lasting operation.
  • Restores turn signal, hazard and self-cancel functions to factory-like performance.
  • Helps prevent intermittent signal operation and electrical shorts often caused by worn switches.
  • Ideal for restoration projects and maintenance when replacing aged or faulty column switches.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 60-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set (including steering wheel nut size)
  • Steering wheel puller
  • Phillips and flat-blade screwdrivers
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
  • Marker or paint pen (for alignment marks)
Instructions:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait a few minutes to ensure systems are discharged.
  2. Mark the relationship between the steering wheel and the steering column shaft so the wheel can be reinstalled in the correct orientation.
  3. Remove the horn button/center pad and any retaining hardware, then unbolt and remove the steering wheel using a puller.
  4. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers to expose the turn signal switch assembly.
  5. Carefully unplug the wiring connector from the switch and note wire positions or take a photo for reference.
  6. Remove the switch retaining screws or bolts and slide the old switch out of the column.
  7. Compare the new switch to the old unit; transfer any necessary small parts or shims if applicable.
  8. Install the new switch into the column, aligning the index tabs and securing it with the original screws or bolts.
  9. Reconnect the wiring harness, ensuring all terminals are seated and locked.
  10. Reinstall the column covers, steering wheel (aligning to the alignment marks), and horn pad. Torque the steering wheel nut to factory specification.
  11. Reconnect the battery and test turn signals, hazards and self-canceling operation. Re-check all connections if any function is not correct.
