A replacement set of carburetor mounting bolts engineered for 1972-1981 Chevrolet Corvette applications using the Quadrajet carburetor. These bolts secure the carburetor to the intake manifold or spacer, maintaining a tight, vibration-resistant seal that prevents air and vacuum leaks. Manufactured to provide OEM-style fit and reliable clamping force, they resist corrosion and wear to support long-term restoration or maintenance projects. Easy to install, they restore proper fastening integrity for improved drivability and confidence under the hood.
Features:
- Fits 1972-1981 Chevrolet Corvette models equipped with the Quadrajet carburetor.
- OEM-style fitment for proper alignment between carburetor, spacer and intake manifold.
- Corrosion-resistant finish for long-lasting durability in engine bay conditions.
- Secures carburetor to prevent air leaks, reduce vibration and maintain reliable throttle response.
- Ideal for restorations and replacements when original bolts are worn, seized or corroded.
- Simple direct-swap installation—no modification required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, allow engine to cool, and disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
- Remove any air cleaner assembly and components obstructing access to the carburetor mounting bolts.
- If replacing bolts only, support the carburetor or spacer with one hand to prevent shifting.
- Carefully remove the old mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to evenly relieve clamping pressure.
- Clean mating surfaces on the carburetor base and intake manifold or spacer; remove old gasket material.
- Place a new carburetor base gasket and align the carburetor/spacer on the intake manifold.
- Install the new mounting bolts by hand to ensure proper thread engagement, then snug in a crisscross pattern.
- Torque bolts to factory specification (consult the vehicle service manual). If a spec is not available, a typical range is 15–25 ft-lb; tighten evenly in a crisscross pattern.
- Reinstall air cleaner assembly and any removed components, reconnect the negative battery cable, and start the engine to check for vacuum leaks or unusual vibration.
