This direct-fit lower left-hand rear section of the front fender is a weld-in repair panel designed for 2009–2019 Ram pickup trucks. It restores the corroded or damaged lower rear corner of the front fender, returning factory alignment and structural integrity. Made from heavy-gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, the part provides a durable, long-lasting solution for rust repair and collision restoration. Ideal for restorations and routine body repairs, the panel simplifies replacement with an OEM-style contour for accurate fit and finish.
Features:
  • Fitment: 2009–2019 Ram pickup trucks (lower left-hand rear section of front front fender).
  • Stamped heavy-gauge steel construction for durability and strength.
  • Weld-in repair panel restores factory alignment and structural integrity.
  • Pre-formed contour matches OEM shape for easier fitting and finishing.
  • Corrosion-resistant coating to reduce future rust and extend service life.
  • Ideal for restoration projects, collision repair, and rusted panel replacement.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 4/5
  • Estimated time: 1–3 hours (typical, depending on experience)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder with cutoff and grinding wheels
  • MIG welder (or compatible welding equipment)
  • Clamps and panel tongs
  • Hammer and dolly set
  • Drill and spot weld cutter (if removing OEM spot welds)
  • Wire brush or grinder wheel for cleaning
  • Seam sealer and applicator
  • Automotive primer and paint
  • Safety gear (welding helmet, gloves, eye protection)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare workspace and wear appropriate safety gear.
  2. Remove the fender from the vehicle if necessary to gain access and ensure a controlled repair environment.
  3. Inspect the damaged area and mark the corroded or deformed metal to be removed; if present, drill out spot welds or cut along factory seams as required.
  4. Cut away the damaged section cleanly, leaving solid metal edges for welding; clean surrounding metal of rust, paint, and debris.
  5. Trial-fit the replacement panel, trimming minor high spots for a precise match to the OEM contour; use clamps or panel tongs to hold in place.
  6. Tack-weld the panel at multiple points to secure fitment, verify alignment to body lines and gaps, then complete stitch or continuous welds as appropriate to avoid warping.
  7. Grind welds smooth and use hammer/dolly where needed to refine contour; clean the repair area with a wire brush or solvent.
  8. Apply seam sealer to welded joints, then prime the bare metal with automotive primer to protect from corrosion.
  9. Block-sand for smoothness, then finish with matching paint and clearcoat as required; reassemble any removed components.
  10. Inspect the finished repair for fit and finish; perform rust-inhibitor treatments as needed and reinstall the fender on the vehicle.
