This idler arm is a direct-fit steering component designed for 1962–1972 Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles. It supports the steering linkage, maintaining proper alignment and reducing play that can cause wandering or uneven tire wear. Built for durability and reliable steering response, it restores proper handling characteristics in classic Mopar cars and trucks. Precision-machined pivot and corrosion-resistant finish ensure long life, while a user-friendly design simplifies replacement during restoration or routine maintenance.

Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the front end with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to idler arm mounting nuts and steering linkage connections; allow to soak if corroded.
- Support the steering linkage; remove the nut securing the idler arm stud to the center link or drag link.
- Use a ball joint separator or pickle fork to separate the idler arm stud from the linkage. Tap with a hammer if necessary to free the stud.
- Remove mounting nuts or bolts securing the idler arm to the frame crossmember. Retain hardware if reusing or discard if replacing.
- Remove the old idler arm and position the new idler arm in place. Install mounting bolts/nuts finger-tight to hold in position.
- Reconnect the idler arm stud to the center link and install nut. Torque all mounting hardware and stud nut to factory specifications.
- If equipped with a grease fitting, apply grease using a grease gun until fresh grease appears at the seals.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification. Test-drive at low speed to confirm steering feel and check for any unusual noises.
- Have steering alignment checked and adjusted by a professional if required to ensure proper tire wear and handling.
