Front lower control arm bushing engineered as a direct-fit replacement for classic Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth A-body and full-size models from 1962–1976. This resilient rubber bushing restores proper suspension alignment, reduces unwanted play and vibration, and improves ride quality and steering response. Built to withstand road stresses and resist premature wear, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance where preserving original handling characteristics is important. Corrosion-resistant sleeves and durable elastomer ensure reliable performance and long life.
Features:
- Fits 1962-1976 Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth models (front lower control arm application).
- Direct-fit replacement for original lower control arm bushing assemblies.
- Durable elastomer construction reduces vibration and restores suspension alignment.
- Includes corrosion-resistant inner sleeve for secure fastening and long life.
- Simple swap to rejuvenate steering response and ride comfort during restoration or maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake, loosen lug nuts on front wheels.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and secure on jack stands; remove the front wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to control arm fasteners; remove bolts securing the control arm to the frame and steering knuckle.
- Lower or remove the control arm from the vehicle and clean mounting bores of dirt and corrosion.
- Use a bushing press or appropriate sized sockets and a C-clamp to press out the old bushing. If necessary, use a hammer and punch carefully to start removal.
- Inspect the control arm bore for damage; clean and prep the area before installing the new bushing.
