Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance, it offers a direct-fit solution to return handling and safety to original specifications.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack or stand. Remove cotter pin and castle nut from the upper ball joint stud.
- Separate the upper ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or by carefully striking the knuckle with a hammer/punch to dislodge the taper.
- If applicable, remove retaining circlip or bolts that secure the ball joint to the control arm.
- Use a ball joint press or removal tool to press out the old ball joint from the upper control arm. Clean the control arm bore and inspect for damage.
- Press the new ball joint into the control arm bore until fully seated. Install any retaining clips or hardware supplied.
- Insert the ball joint stud into the knuckle and install the castle nut. Torque the nut to the manufacturer's specification and install a new cotter pin.
- If the new ball joint has a grease fitting, apply grease until boot is slightly distended. Reinstall the wheel and torque lug nuts to spec.
- Lower the vehicle, fully torque the wheel lug nuts, and perform a test drive. Have wheel alignment checked and adjusted as needed.
