Front sway bar link (right or left) designed to fit a wide range of American and import vehicles from 1974–2006, including American Motors, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Eagle, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Plymouth and Toyota. This sway bar link secures the stabilizer bar to the suspension, helping reduce body roll, improve handling, and maintain steering stability. Built as an OE-style replacement with corrosion-resistant components and durable joints, it provides reliable performance for routine maintenance or full vehicle restoration. Easy to install for most DIYers and professional technicians, it restores proper sway bar function and helps extend the life of suspension components.
Features:
- Fits 1974–2006 American Motors, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Eagle, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Plymouth and Toyota — front sway bar link, right or left hand.
- OE-style replacement design restores proper suspension geometry and stabilizer bar connection.
- Durable steel construction with corrosion-resistant coating for long service life.
- Precision bushings/joints reduce vibration and noise while maintaining steering responsiveness.
- Direct-fit application for restoration or routine maintenance — no modification required.
- Simple installation with common hand tools; suitable for DIY or professional installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake and block rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the vehicle with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheel to access the sway bar link.
- Apply penetrating oil to the sway bar link fasteners and allow time to soak if corroded.
- Remove the lower and upper sway bar link fasteners using the appropriate sockets/wrenches. Hold the stud with a second wrench if needed to prevent rotation.
- Remove the old sway bar link from the stabilizer bar and control arm (or strut), noting orientation for reinstall.
- Compare the new link to the old unit to confirm fitment. Install the new link in the same orientation, positioning bushings and washers as required.
- Hand-start the nuts, then tighten fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer's specified torque using a torque wrench.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec. Test drive at low speed to ensure no unusual noises and confirm improved handling.
