Outer left-hand tie rod end designed to replace worn steering components on compatible 1994–2003 Acura, Honda, and Isuzu vehicles. This part secures the steering rack to the steering knuckle and translates steering input into wheel movement, restoring precise steering response and reducing play. Constructed from hardened steel with corrosion-resistant plating and a sealed ball-joint design, it provides long-lasting durability and smooth operation. Engineered for direct-fit replacement, it simplifies installation and helps maintain proper wheel alignment and tire life.
Features:
- Fits 1994–2003 Acura, Honda, and Isuzu vehicles (verify specific model and year compatibility before purchase).
- Direct-fit outer left-hand tie rod end to replace worn or damaged steering components.
- Hardened steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish for enhanced durability.
- Sealed ball-joint design helps prevent contamination and extend service life.
- Restores steering precision, reduces play, and helps prevent premature tire wear.
- Greaseable/maintenance-friendly design for longer service intervals and reliability.
- Ideal for suspension/steering restoration, maintenance, or routine replacement.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and loosen wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands; remove the wheel.
- Locate the outer left tie rod end on the steering knuckle and clean surrounding area.
- Remove the cotter pin (if present) and loosen the castellated nut or retaining nut on the tie rod end.
- Use a tie-rod end puller or ball joint separator to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. If using a pickle fork, be careful not to damage the boot.
- Loosen the jam nut on the inner tie rod and count the number of turns or measure the exposed thread length to help maintain alignment when installing the new part.
- Unscrew the old outer tie rod end from the inner tie rod and remove it.
- Thread the new outer tie rod end onto the inner tie rod to the previously measured position (or the same number of turns); make coarse alignment adjustments if needed.
- Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle, tighten the retaining nut to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque, and install a new cotter pin if required.
- Tighten the jam nut against the outer tie rod end to secure the assembly.
- Grease the fitting if the new part is greaseable, following recommended grease type and intervals.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
- Because steering geometry may have changed, have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper toe settings and tire wear.
