Replacement rear outer tie rod end for 1995-2002 Mazda Millenia designed to restore precise steering geometry and secure the rear suspension connection. This direct-fit outer rear tie rod end transfers steering inputs reliably, reduces play, and helps maintain proper toe alignment. Built to withstand road loads and everyday corrosion for long service life, it’s an ideal repair for worn steering components during routine maintenance or restoration projects. Supplied for both right- and left-hand applications to match factory orientation and ensure correct fitment.
Features:
  • Fits 1995-2002 Mazda Millenia — rear outer tie rod end, right or left hand application.
  • Durable metal construction resists wear and road corrosion for dependable service life.
  • Restores steering precision by eliminating play and maintaining proper toe alignment.
  • Direct-fit replacement for easy swap-in installation without modification.
  • Includes ball joint and grease boot to reduce vibration and prevent contamination.
  • Suitable for routine maintenance, repairs after wear, or full suspension restoration.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per side
Suggested Tools:
  • jack and jack stands
  • lug wrench or impact gun
  • wrench set (including adjustable and open-end)
  • socket set
  • torque wrench
  • tie rod end puller or pickle fork
  • needle-nose pliers
  • marker or paint pen
  • hammer
  • grease gun (if applicable)
  • penetrating oil
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and loosen rear wheel lug nuts slightly.
  2. Raise vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the rear wheel to access the suspension.
  3. Apply penetrating oil to the tie rod end jam nut and stud to ease removal of corroded parts.
  4. Mark the position of the outer tie rod on the inner tie rod or count turns to preserve alignment as a reference.
  5. Loosen the jam nut on the inner tie rod, then remove the cotter pin (if present) and unfasten the castle nut securing the outer tie rod stud to the steering knuckle.
  6. Use a tie rod end puller or pickle fork to separate the tie rod end from the knuckle. Remove the outer tie rod by rotating it out of the inner tie rod.
  7. Compare the new tie rod end to the old unit to confirm correct side and orientation. Thread the new outer tie rod onto the inner tie rod to the marked position or same number of turns.
  8. Insert the tie rod stud into the knuckle, tighten the castle nut to the manufacturer's torque specification, and install a new cotter pin if required.
  9. Tighten the jam nut against the outer tie rod to secure the adjustment. If the part has a grease fitting, apply grease per specs.
  10. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to spec. Because tie rod replacement affects alignment, have a professional wheel alignment performed as soon as possible.
