Front right/left sway bar link designed for 1997-2001 Honda Prelude. This replacement sway bar end link connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension, helping control body roll during cornering and maintaining proper alignment of the stabilizer system. Built for durability and reliable performance, it restores steering precision, reduces clunking or excessive sway, and helps preserve tire wear. The simple, direct-fit design makes it suitable for restoration, routine maintenance, or performance refreshes.
Features:
- Fits 1997-2001 Honda Prelude (front, right or left sway bar link).
- Durable metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Replaces worn or damaged sway bar end links to eliminate clunking and improve handling.
- Direct-fit design for easy installation with no modifications required.
- Helps reduce body roll, improve cornering stability, and protect suspension components.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and loosen wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel to access the sway bar link.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the sway (stabilizer) bar to the control arm or strut assembly.
- Apply penetrating oil to mounting nuts and bolts if they appear corroded; allow time to soak.
- Remove the nut(s) securing the sway bar link to the sway bar and to the control arm/strut. Use a second wrench to hold the stud if needed to prevent spinning.
- Remove the old link. If stuck, use a pry bar or a hammer with care to free it.
- Install the new sway bar link in the same orientation as the original. Start nuts by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten mounting hardware to manufacturer-recommended torque values using a torque wrench. If specific torque values are unavailable, tighten securely while avoiding over-torquing.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer's specification.
- Test drive at low speed to ensure no unusual noises and verify handling. Re-check hardware torque after a short break-in drive.
