Front lower ball joint (right/left) designed for 1999-2018 Jeep applications. This non-greaseable ball joint uses a durable POM (polyoxymethylene) polymer bearing and precision steel components to securely connect the lower control arm to the steering knuckle, maintaining alignment and steering stability. Engineered for reliable wear resistance and consistent performance, it restores proper suspension geometry, reduces play and vibration, and helps prevent premature tire wear. The unit is a direct-replacement design (without a threaded bushing) for an easy swap when repairing or restoring front suspension components.

Instructions:
  1. Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, lift vehicle with a floor jack, and support securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
  3. Locate the front lower ball joint connecting the lower control arm to the steering knuckle. Apply penetrating oil to fasteners as needed.
  4. Remove any retaining components: cotter pin, castellated nut, or pinch bolt depending on your vehicle's setup. Separate the ball joint stud from the knuckle using a ball joint separator, pickle fork, or by applying pressure with a ball joint press.
  5. If the ball joint is pressed into the control arm, use a ball joint press or appropriate press adapter to remove the old joint. Follow the press tool instructions carefully to avoid damage.
  6. Clean the control arm bore and inspect for damage or corrosion. Lightly lubricate the bore per vehicle manufacturer guidance (if required) and align the replacement ball joint.
  7. Press the new non-greaseable ball joint into the control arm using the press tool and correct adapters until fully seated. Ensure orientation matches the original part.
  8. Reinstall the ball joint stud into the steering knuckle and secure with the supplied nut. Torque to vehicle manufacturer specification and install a new cotter pin if applicable, or tighten the pinch bolt to spec.
  9. Reassemble any removed suspension components, reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification.
  10. Test drive at low speed to confirm proper steering and suspension operation. Have a professional alignment performed if required to restore correct toe/camber settings.
