Front right control arm engineered for 2005-2012 Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with Active Body Control. This suspension component secures the lower steering knuckle to the chassis while integrating with the vehicle’s ABC system to maintain ride height and handling. Built to restore correct suspension geometry, it helps eliminate alignment issues, uneven tire wear, and body movement associated with worn or damaged arms. Designed for direct fit replacement, it offers durable construction, reliable performance, and straightforward installation to get your Mercedes back on the road with original handling characteristics.
Features:
- Fitment: 2005-2012 Mercedes-Benz models equipped with Active Body Control (front right/passenger side).
- Direct-fit replacement for the front right lower control arm compatible with ABC suspension.
- Constructed from durable materials to resist corrosion and withstand road stresses.
- Restores correct alignment, reduces vibration, and prevents premature tire wear.
- Includes mounting points and bushings designed for reliable performance and ease of installation.
- Ideal for suspension restoration, accident repair, or upgrading worn components.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if necessary for ABC diagnostics.
- Loosen the front right wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle with a floor jack, and securely support with jack stands. Remove the wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to control arm mounting bolts and let soak if corroded.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack or pry bar. Remove the stabilizer link and any brake or ABS sensor brackets attached to the control arm.
- Separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or pickle fork, taking care not to damage the knuckle.
- Remove the control arm pivot bolts at the chassis mounts and slide the old control arm out.
- Compare the new control arm to the old unit for correct orientation and transfer any brackets if required.
- Install the new control arm into the chassis mounts and loosely install pivot bolts. Reattach the ball joint to the steering knuckle and reinstall any brackets and stabilizer link.
- With the vehicle at normal ride height (lower the suspension gently while supporting the car), torque all mounting hardware to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle to the ground, and perform a final torque of the lug nuts.
- It is recommended to have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper handling and tire wear.
