Installation / Application:

Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts, then lift the vehicle with a jack and support it securely on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel to access the tie rod assembly.
- Locate the outer tie rod end; loosen the jam nut that secures it to the inner tie rod and mark the position on the threaded shaft for reference.
- Remove the cotter pin (if present) and loosen the castle nut securing the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Do not fully remove the nut yet.
- Use a tie rod end puller or a pickle fork and a few gentle strikes to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Remove the castle nut and extract the old tie rod end.
- Unscrew the old tie rod end from the inner tie rod, counting turns or using the reference mark to approximate alignment.
- Thread the new outer left-hand tie rod end onto the inner tie rod to the same position/number of turns as the removed part. Tighten the jam nut against the tie rod end.
- Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle and torque the castle nut to factory specifications. Install a new cotter pin if required.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification.
- Check steering freeplay and perform a wheel alignment as soon as possible to ensure proper tire wear and handling.
