Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and safely lift the front of the vehicle using a jack; support with jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel on the side to be serviced to gain access to the sway bar link.
- Apply penetrating oil to any rusty fasteners and allow to soak if necessary.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the stabilizer bar to the control arm or strut; hold the link and remove the mounting nuts/bolts at both ends using the appropriate sockets/wrenches.
- If the stud rotates while removing the nut, use a wrench to hold the stud head or use an Allen/hex key if equipped.
- Remove the old sway bar link and compare with the new part to ensure correct orientation and fit.
- Install the new sway bar link into position, insert bolts/studs, and hand-thread the nuts to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten mounting hardware to the manufacturer's specified torque using a torque wrench. If no torque spec is available, tighten securely but do not overtighten.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and perform a short test drive to verify elimination of noise and proper handling.
- Re-check torque on sway bar link fasteners after a short drive and adjust if necessary.
