Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, set parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
- Loosen lug nuts on the front right wheel slightly while vehicle is on the ground.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and securely support it with jack stands; remove the front right wheel.
- Spray penetrating oil on fasteners where needed and allow to soak.
- Remove any components obstructing access to the control arm (sway bar link or splash shield) as required.
- Loosen and remove the control arm mounting bolts at the frame and subframe, but do not fully remove until the control arm is supported.
- Separate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or pickle fork. Be careful to support the knuckle to avoid strain on the brake lines or CV axle.
- Remove the control arm and compare the new part to the old one to confirm correct orientation and fitment.
- Install the new control arm in position and loosely install the frame/subframe mounting bolts and ball joint nut.
- With the vehicle at curb height or as specified by the vehicle manufacturer, tighten all control arm mounting bolts and ball joint nut to the vehicle manufacturer’s torque specifications using a torque wrench.
- Reinstall any removed components, reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Perform a professional wheel alignment after installation to ensure proper steering, handling, and tire life.
